======================================================================================================
2026 has been no different with victories against up to 11,287 birds being recorded.
They no longer sprint with OB. Only YB sprint flying is entertained.
Instead, the OB season is entirely dedicated to preparing some Mark Gilbert based pigeons at the KINGS CUP
This race is notoriously a difficult race to time from and it's a real achievement to record birds in race time let alone feature high in the result
In the last few years Gordon Bros & Sons have shown they can fly the KINGS CUP pretty much as well as anybody
Recent Open performances in the KINGS CUP include 2nd, 14th, 33rd, 34th, 38th, 48th, 68th, 75th, 91st, 99th, 104th, 112th
The investment in Mark Gilbert based pigeons has been both heavy and wise
Only the best has been sought and entertained.
Direct Children from the likes of "SOUTHFIELD HISTORY", "SOUTHFIELD HUGO", "SOUTHFIELD GOLD LADY", "SOUTHFIELD GOLD", "SOUTHFIELD DARRAN", "JANA", "INDY" etc
Not only are Gordon Bros & Sons excelling at the Distance (1st British Isles Pinnacle Long Distance Champions 2025) but others benefit from their blood too
