Here with have a few more results for you all to enjoy, there’s a double week as I had an extended bank holiday weekend and missed the deadline for print, anyway thankyou to those that have sent me results to include within my article, for anyone interested in sending me your club results then my contact details are at the end of the report,
We start with Portway and thanks to Steve Walton who sends me there results,
Portway HS – 18/05/19 – Portland – Worcester Fed – 6 member’s, sent 112 birds.
Bob Ebbitt dominates this week’s race taking the first 6 and having 8 in the first 10 positions with his Janseen based widowhood team of cocks and hens.
His 1st pigeon a 3 yr. old hen that is already a prize winner, 2nd a 3 yr. old cock a previous fed winner from Brian Broughton via Galaxy lofts.
3rd, 4th and 5th all hens containing the above bloodlines.
6th a 2yr old hen that has already won 5 firsts.
Portway HS – 25/05/19 – Frome – Worcester Fed.
1st Bernard Carter with a 2yr old lambrecht roundabout cock , 2nd Dave Shorthouse with a Alex Docx yearling roundabout hen, 3rd, 4th & 6th Mrs Owen Robinson ( Alan & Jean )with their team of Walter Docx roundabouts, with 5th prize going to Bob Ebbitt with a 2yr old janseen cock.
Portway HS – 25/05/19 – Carentan – Worcester Fed – 7 member’s, sent 60 birds.
1st Dave Shorthouse wins with a 2yr old koopman roundabout hen, 2nd & 6th Bob Ebbitt with two 5yr old widowhood cocks from his janseen based team both previous channel prize winners.
3rd & 5th Bernard Carter with 2 lambrecht based roundabout hens.
4th Steve Walton with a yearling roundabout van link hen.
Walsall Wood & District FC. – 25/05/19 – Frome – Worcester Fed – 9 member’s, sent 169 birds.
In 1st place S Mcdonough with a yearling blue w/f cock with a winning velocity of 1545.613 which is also confirmed as being 1st Worcester fed from 2243 birds, Shaun tells me that this week’s winner is a van den bulk cock, a previous winner this year of 1st club, 1st sect 895 birds, 1st Wolverhampton fed 3347 birds, and 4th club beat by loft mates, 8th section 968 birds, 8th Wolverhampton fed 3002 birds. Well done Shaun a fantastic pigeon that’s topped two different feds in a matter of a few weeks. In 2nd place Duggan & Hughes with a yearling chq hen 3rd goes to J Dunn with a 2yr old dark chq cock, in 4th place is K Berry with a 2yr old blue cock , 5th is H Deavall with a yearling chq cock and taking 6th place Mick Tennant with a yearling blue hen.
Walsall Wood & District FC. – 25/05/19 – Carentan – Worcester Fed – 6 member’s, sent 50 birds.
In 1st & 2nd place S Mcdonough with a 2yr old blue vandenabeelle hen with a winning velocity of 1336.044,
This hen is a previous winner on the channel as a yearling and was 4th section the week previous in the NFC race from fougeres, Shaun’s second pigeon is a dark w/f yearling wildersmeercsh hen, she is a direct daughter from his MNFC winner, she has had numerous fed prizes this year and was 5th section the week before from Fougeres in the NFC. Taking 3rd, 4th and 5th place is H Deavall with three 2 yr. old cocks and a 2yr old hen, 6th place goes to D Aston with a yearling dark chq hen.
Walsall Wood & District FC. – 01/06/19 – Purbeck – Worcester Fed – 9 member’s, sent 210 birds.
In 1st place K Berry with a yearling blue pied cock and a winning velocity of 1796.402 which must be well up in the fed I would imagine, good luck with that ken and well done, in 2nd & 3rd place S McDonough with two yearling hens, 4th place goes to D Aston with a 3yr old dark chq cock, 5th is H Deavall with a yearling blue pied cock and Duggan & Hughes take 6th with a 3yr old chq wf hen.
Bushbury Homing Society, – 25/05/19 –Frome – Worcester Fed – 11 member’s,
Taking the red card here we have Mr G.M Smart with a yearling mealy hen and recording a velocity of 1496.397, in 2nd place Mr D Burton with a 2yr old cock, 3rd, 5th and 6th place to Mr and Mrs A Farrar all cocks with a 3yr old, 5yr old and yearling, 4th position to Mr & Mrs D Price.
Bushbury Rail HS – 01/06/19 – Portland – Wolverhampton Fed- 12 members, sent 240 birds.
Adam Bissell takes the top spot with his 4 year old hen Winnie, this hen is one of Adams pride and joys, with many first prizes under her belt.
1st Mr Adam Bissell 1823 913 with a 5yr old blue hen, 2nd Mr G Owen 1804 870 with a yrl dk cock, 3rd Mr john heath 1801.885 clocking a 3yr old blue pied cock, 4th position goes to Mr Adam Bissell 1801 797 timing a 3 yr. old cheq hen, 5th Mr Stan potts on 1800 257 with a 2yr old blk pied cock.
Wednesfield H S – 01/06/19 – Portland – Gloucester Fed – 6 members, sent 52 birds.
1st Mr & Mrs Arthur Farrar with a winning velocity of 1801 718 the winner was a 2yr old blue De Mayer, 2nd Mr Mrs Arthur Farrar 1795 with a yrl red pied cock, taking 3rd prize is Mr Tommy Smith 1795, Tommy also wins the nom, 4th Mr Mrs Arthur Farrar 1787 with a 2yr old De Mayer cock 5th Mr Mrs Arthur Farrar 1784 with a yrl lt cheq cock.
Steve Jeavons from Chase Social FC was kind enough to send me there club results;
The Chase Social FC Hednesford – 25/05/19 – Carentan – Worcester Fed – 10 Members, sent 111 birds.
In 1st place with a velocity of 1320 with a well fancied blue cock that also takes the nom £40 and wins the Cannock Chase 2 bird is Graham wallet ( blue ) to his mates, 2nd 3rd &4th is P Hancocks & Son also winning the £10 special for the 1st yearling timed in donated by Alf Lawley.
The Chase Social FC Hednesford – 01/06/19 – Purbeck – Worcester Fed – 11 Members, sent 187 birds.
In 1st & 3rd place Marsh & Gallear with two yearlings the 1st one being a blue hen, and the 2nd a cheq cock splitting these for 2nd & 4th is D Hartsorne with two cheq hens the 2nd placed one being a yearling and taking the nom for £47-50 and the other a three year old congratulations to Marsh & Gallear in winning 1st sec 2nd open in the MCC from Fourgeres on the 1st June.

Taking 1st place Mr E Maybury & Son, winning with a yearling Gert Heylen x De Meyer blue hen on 1521.517, 2nd,3rd & 4th positions all going to Mr & Mrs McLaughlin & Son all being yearling vandenabeeles..
Broomhill Albion HS – 01/06/19 – Purbeck – Worcester Fed 7 members, sent 115 birds.
1st & 2nd place Mr E Maybury & Son, the first being there good hen a 3 year old van den Brande x gert heylen which has now won 12 x 1st clubs her winning velocity being 1771.274, the partnerships second placed pigeon is a Gert Heylen x Van Den Brande yearling blue hen, 3rd place goes to Mr D P Gallear & Son with a 3 yr. old chq cock De Mayer x, 4th place goes to K Thomas with a yearling Cattrysse pied hen.
Romsley & District FC – 25/05/19 – Frome – Worcester Fed – 9 members, sent 97 birds.
1st & 2nd place goes to Mick Basterfield with a velocity of 1508.826, the first being a 2yr old blue/f cock, closely followed by a yearling blue w/f hen.
3rd and 5th place awarded to W Warburton & Son with two yearling blue hens , 4th and 6th place goes to Mr and Mrs Wardle with a yearling blue pied cock and there good black cock.
Romsley & District FC – 25/05/19 – Carentan – Worcester Fed.
1st and 3rd place goes to S Shilton & Dtr with a winning velocity of 1321.123, 2nd place Mr and Mrs P K Hill, 4th place Mr & Mrs Wardle, 5th & 6th place J Harding.

Burntwood Midweek FC – Bath (Walcot) – 29/05/19 – 6 Members, sent 97 Birds.
These birds had it real hard, only an 80-90 mile race for its members but the weather must of took a turn for the worst on route, birds were homing drenched and there was big gaps between the birds coming home, many pigeons did a night out with them still arriving late into the next night and day two,
1st & 3rd Place goes to R & G Jones & Batt with a yearling blue cock, and a two year old chq hen, 2nd place was the partnership of Duggan & Hughes with a 2 yr. old blue hen, with 4th place awarded to Les Carter & Son with a yearling blue cock.
Claregate HS – 18/5/19 – Kingsdown – 4 Members, Sent 57 Birds.

In 1st place C Mahon with a 4yr old slatey hen and a winning velocity of 1195.16 he also wins the nom, 2nd and 3rd place to Mr & Mrs Moore with a 3yr old pied hen and 7yr old dark chq hen, 4th place going to Mr & Mrs Evans.
Aston & District FC – 25/05/19 – Frome – Tamworth Fed – 19 members.
In 1st place J Pritchard with a yearling blue w/f cock and a winning velocity of 1477.18 , 2nd place to Maddix Bros with a 2yr old chq hen, 3rd place goes to Adkins & Hadley with a 2yr old blue cock , 4th place is G Day with a yearling blue wf hen.
Aston & District FC – 01/06/19 – Honiton – Tamworth Fed – 14 members, sent 115 birds.
In 1st place Maddix Bros with a 2yr old blue cock and a winning velocity of 1767.37, in 2nd place is Mr & Mrs Moore with a 3yr old mealy cock, 3rd place goes to Adkins & Hadley with a yearling red cock, and 4th place is C Sumner with a yearling blue cock.
The Royal – 25/05/19 – Carentan – 4 members, sent 12 birds.
In 1st place P.J.G Lofts with a 2yr old chq pied cock and a winning velocity of 1298.090, 2nd place to S Hanna with his good 5yr old grizzle hen, 3rd and 4th place going to P Thomas with a 2yr old and yearling hen.
The Royal – 25/05/19 – Frome – 5 members, sent 61 birds.
Taking the red card is A Christie & Son with a 3yr old blue cock with a winning velocity of 1493.689 and also winning the nom of £45, 2nd , 3rd, and 4th place to S Hanna with a 3yr old blue w/f cock, a yearling blue w/f hen and a 4yr old blue hen.
The Royal – 01/06/19 – Honiton – 4 members, sent 46 birds.
In 1st & 4th place is S Hanna with a blue wf cock and a grizzle hen with a winning velocity of 1763.258 that also wins the nom £50, in 2nd & 3rd place Christie Bros.
